Goodness I have been doing some many birds. You would think after the previous yelling match with the quail, I would want something with fur and fang rather than feather and beak. But I already had this sketched out from last year, and my muse called for it so thus a barn owl. At least barn owls have a more fur like quality when it comes to coloring, no distinct wee feathers. Played too much with the background, had white acrylic spots but just didn't work out right. Brush wasn't stiff enough and end up with splotches rather than spots. Tsk, live and learn. Onward to fur!
