Outgoing:            Quailfeather is a very outgoing she-cat, she just loves to be around others. She is usually really friendly and very talkative around her clanmates. She always likes to have somebody by her side to talk to because she hates it when it is quiet, and she is actually a little insecure so she hates being alone. Quailfeather also hates seeing her clanmates being alone. So if she sees someone who isn’t interacting with others she will go up to them, and she will try to talk to them.

Curious:               Quailfeather can get really curious at times. She loves to explore new places and discover new things. If she sees something odd or different she can’t help it, but she feels like she has to check it out. Although her curiosity can be helpful at times, it can get her into some trouble as well. She can’t really help being curious, to her it is just something that she feels like she has to do.

Humorous:         Going along with Qailfeather’s outgoing personality she is actually pretty humorous. She loves to joke around because if she is feeling down usually she just jokes around a bit to help make her feel better. Plus she uses her humor to try and help cheer up others that may be feeling a bit down.

Envious:               Even though Quailfeather seems like a pretty easy going cat, she tends to hide her darker side a bit. Although usually her envy always manages to show somehow. For example if she is hunting and another cat catches more prey than she does she will act happy, but on the inside she gets a bit envious because she doesn’t feel like she has done well enough to help out her clan and she envies the other cat. Even with small things she can get a bit envious of others.

Anger/Annoyance:                         Quailfeather can get angry very easily. Especially when someone is being rude to her, or someone is being very disrespectful of her clan. She also has very low patience so when some things take too long to do she can get easily annoyed and sometimes pretty angry. Which then puts her in a foul mood, and when she is in a bad mood she likes to be left alone so she can calm down and ease up.

Low Self-Esteem:             Even though Quailfeather is really outgoing, she has a bit of a low self-esteem. She puts on a bit of a mask sort of so others will think she is strong even though she is insecure about herself. She hates it when others comment about how small she is because she was made fun of as kit for it because she was a bit of a runt.

Brief Backstory: [Kit] [Apprentice] [Warrior]

Kit:         Quailfeather was the only kit born to her mother and father. For pretty much all her kithood she was praised by her parents and it was pretty happy for her. Although she was actually made fun of by the other kits in the nursery a bit. Because she was so curious she would get into bad situations that would make her look like a fool, so the other kits would tell her that she was mouse-brained and other things like that. She was also made fun of for her size. Qualfeather was a really small kit, and the other kits would tell her that she would never make a good warrior. Despite all of this Quailfeather kept her head high and tried to stay strong even though she was pretty hurt.

Apprentice:        Quailfeather was so happy when she had become an apprentice, she wanted to prove to other that even though she was small she could become an awesome warrior. Although her apprenticeship didn’t start off that well. She had gotten into a lot of trouble so she always spent her time cleaning out the elders’ den. Although she eventually got into the swing of things. Quailfeather’s father would help her on her training whenever he got the chance to, but that soon came to end because her mother had another litter of kits a while after her training began. She became envious because she felt like her parents had forgotten all about her, because they had new kits. Quailfeather had never really been ignored by her Parents when she was growing up. Probably because she was their first and only kit. She soon began to feel really alone after her parent’s second litter of kits, she didn’t really have anybody to talk to besides her mentor since her parents were always so busy. She also didn’t get along with the other apprentices either. She then decided the only way to really be able to spend time with her parents was to help her mother look after the kits. When the kits got to the age were they became a bit destructive Quailfeather would often keep them entertained so they would not get into any trouble. After this she began to feel a lot better, everything had seemed to go almost back to normal.

Warrior:               When Quailfeather became a warrior her mother’s second litter had just become apprentices. Quailfeather was no longer envious of them, in fact she was pretty proud of them and she loved them dearly. She loved how they would always come up to her for advice on their training, and she always tried to set a good example for them. Although a while later one of her younger siblings had fallen into a fast flowing part of the river while Quailfeather was helping him with a bit of his training. Sadly when her younger brother fell in the current of the river was just too overwhelming for him and he drowned. Quailfeather had tried to save the young apprentice but she had failed. It was too late for her to be able to do anything. The water was just too dangerous for her to swim in. Her mother had actually blamed his death on her because she hadn’t tried hard enough to save hi, and that she was selfish that she valued her own life and hadn’t jumped into the water to save him. When Quailfeather heard her mother say that to her she was heartbroken. She couldn’t believe it, her own mother hated her. Since then Quailfeather ceased to talk or even interact with her mother, she hated what she had done to her. After that incident it was pretty much smooth sailing for Quailfeather, nothing bad really happened, and at least she still had a close relationship with her father and her younger sister. She continued to help give advice for her younger sister’s training even though it made her a bit sad because her younger brother was not there anymore. Quailfeather got along with everyone, ad to her the other cats in her clan seemed to like her. Up till now Quailfeather has been a very dedicated member of her clan, and she is relieved that nothing too horrible has happened in the clan.

From The Frozen Lands

    Heatherpaw gazed around the frozen landscape, her eyes sparkled with fascination as she looked around at everything. She was on a hunting trip with her mentor, her sister, and her sister’s mentor. She hopped around in the snow while she looked for prey, she dug little hole in the snow with her paws to see if any prey was burrowed underneath the white blanket of snow. Heatherpaw twitched her nose as a snowflake landed on it she then looked around her and she realized it was beginning to snow. She looked around and she spotted her mentor in the distance she bounded over to him and she looked up at the sky and she noticed how it was beginning to snow heavier by the minute. They were quite far away from camp and she hoped that they would get back before it begun to snow heavier. Heatherpaw’s mentor signal that they should head back to camp right away, she nodded her head and she started to head back with him. As it started to snow heavier Heatherpaw had to narrow her eyes so she could see without getting snow in them. A shiver went down her spin as a cold blast of wind hit her square in the face. She looked at her mentor as if expecting him to do something, he was looking at some rocks.

                “Quick over to those rocks, be may be able to find shelter in them.” He spoke in a firm voice as he trudged through the snow to get over to them. Heatherpaw nodded and she followed him towards the rocks, she then spotted her sister and her mentor heading in the same direction. Heatherpaw’s eyes saddened slightly as she noticed how cold her sister looked. Soon they all reached the rocks and they huddled together to stay warm, they all didn’t even notice that Breezepaw wasn’t with them.

                Once the snow started to cease, they exited their small shelter and they looked around them. Heatherpaw’s eyes widened when she noticed Breezepaw was nowhere to be seen. “Breezepaw?” Her breathe quickened when she heard no answer, “Breezepaw?!” Heatherpaw frantically looked around the area, the mentors were searching as well.

“I swear she was right behind me when we were walking towards the rocks…” Breezepaw’s mentor said quietly. Heatherpaw then noticed a small lump in the snow and she ran over to it, and she started to dig into it. Her eyes widened in horror when she saw the frozen body of her sister.
