Well I GUESS it's his outfit of the renaissance era, but I'm not quite sure. and since my japanese is no more then KAWAII DESU and YAOI&YURI... the original filename was densanzensin or something like that but idk xD I just call it the renaissance outfit for myself and just throw it under the name of medieval when I cosplay with my norge-poo (which is always.) but it might also be from the same era as that prussia outfit which actually looks like this version of denmark a lot *noticed that just when she put this on xD* long bullshit story is long

Well. It defenitly wouldn't be the Renaissance Era.
The Renaissance Era involved Denmark wearing armour and Norway wearing the long, avy blue tunic. This suit, I believe, is when Denmark was ether when Denmark was starting out, or when Denmark was in the Medevil Era. I'm not sure.

Oh derp I'm just mainly following the crowd and such for the name xD and I actually do not think that he still wore an armor in the renaissance era since that was mainly all 'LETS BE COOL AND PEACEFULL AND ENJOY LIFE HEUJ!' and that doesnt really fit the image of princesses and knights...

Well, in the Renaissance Era, it's still pretty much the Medevil Era, sorta. But the thing is, the Renaissance Era wasn't like other countries. Don't forget that Denmark's a strong Kingdom. The suit in the photo would probably be more.. not renaissance. Because my Danish friends - like, three of them - told me that the armour /is/ the Renaissance Era. With Norway wearing the tunic as well.

I think I'll stay with the fact that this outfit quite resemblances this outfit of prussia: [link] (Seven_Years_War).PNG
the war of austrian succession started in 1740, which is the early romantic age/end of the age of enlightment, which is still sort of part of the renaissance (grow of wealth and knowledge spam)
but still, I don't think the armor (damned cursed painful armor of doom as I call it after making and wearing that damned thing) was still much worn after the medieval age...
and Norway was just forced to wear this or a some other kind of tunic forever by denmark BI

Well, the Danish actually weren't too fond of the Prussians, seeing as how the Prussians got rule over Schleswig, Holstein, and Lauenburg because Denmark surrendered them to Prussia and Austria.
So, I don't think the Danish would have a suit that's similar to someones they hate.
And if you look at a picture OF medeival Denmark, you'll see that the Danish actually wore armour. ---> [link]

I think the suit relates back around the Protestant Reformation, and maybe the Kalmar Union. Maybe even World War 1 - but not World War 2 since Danmark was ruled by Germany then. And I highly doubt it'd have been the Kalmar Union.

but they don't have to like them to wear the same type of uniform. I'm just trying to sketch the time frame. in the middle ages you could say the 'military'/knights all wore armor. later on they had different kinds of other uniforms but in every timeframe I assume they were somewhat alike. nowadays all soldiers wear camouflage print uniforms. every country has their own specific design but they DO have a lot in common about the design
and medieval is the same as the middle ages right? *not a native english speaker* *doubting if I'm talking about the right thing*
[link] go to 1763. I think this is about the time, when you read about the next period they specify that the whole military had the same uniform from then on. the design of the coat in 1763 is quite alike from this version of denmark, only different colours. mainly.

Well, I have friends from Denmark, and I search /A LOT/ about the country. The mlitary suits are plain green with mini hats, not the suits the with X on it.

1763 - The suit looks nothing like it. It may, but I highly doubt it is.

I asked my Danish friends, and they know nothing about the suit.
It's probably just fan made.

Ugh I mean the design and kind, and if you would read it says that they did not have a general outfit. but given by the looks of that one I'd say that it should be around the same time
