fear of becoming who you used to be again.

I wonder if there is anyone who is actually afraid of snow. I don't mean like being afraid of getting snowed in, but just simply snow. I wonder why they are afraid of it if they are.

I have many fears, perhaps rational and irrational, but the one that has always done the most damage is the fear of failing..

Also, geliophobia is the fear of laugher. Although, I think this might specifically be the fear of being laughed at.

A life without laughing doesn't sound very fun. Do you not like your laugh? Or just don't enjoy showing a happy side of yourself?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Myfutureis100 In reply to Lish-55 [2013-03-23 01:06:56 +0000 UTC]

Both. My laugh sounds really stupid. My default expression is stoic, so I'm embarrassed to show my emotions in public. Stupid, huh?

Not stupid. But I'm sure it's not as bad as you think it is. It's just what makes you unique.

Sorry for the late reply, are you still interested in using this? I'm just wondering if you're supposed to share your own poetry or if it's okay to use others? And if I would be given proper credit for it?
Glad you like it though and thanks for asking.

This idea is pretty cool, it questions the viewer and how every second question rhymes with the one before it.

My fear...is manikins. *shudders* They creep me out...they just stare at you...with their blank eyes....their blank faces....ehhh
It's just that manikins look human, but they're not even alive. I think that's the scariest part. :I

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lish-55 In reply to xKaharu [2012-10-24 00:53:43 +0000 UTC]

Wow, I totally agree with that fear! I don't remember if I included that one, I definitely should have because it is one of the biggest ones I have. I hate when you're in a store and there's not enough room to walk far away from them so you have to walk so close you feel like they're going to reach out and touch you.

xKaharu In reply to Lish-55 [2012-10-24 09:23:02 +0000 UTC]

Haha I know exactly how you feel.
Well one circus near my area had decided to advertise their circus by placing colourful inflatable clowns next to busy roads. I even saw a manikin dressed up as a clown (with make-up and everything) sitting on top of a clown car. It's creepy at night...

Amazing typography!

I'm afraid of loud noises. Ofcourse, I'm surprised by them, but I'm mostly afraid that it could eventualy become me fatal. (Talking about the traffic. Like, being THAT surprised that I fall from my bike, and get run over by a cat or something.)

You nailed my major one (choking). It's been tearing me up for a few years now, but at the same time, it's made me stronger.

I was happy to find this, good job!

Wow, sorry to hear about your choking fear, but glad you're starting to overcome it. I feel like the stronger the fear is, the stronger you need to be to fight it.

I fear faliure and a lose of senses. (Going deaf/blind)

Lish-55 In reply to LadyKylin [2012-06-15 09:13:12 +0000 UTC]

ohh, loss of senses is a good one... Definitely one of my fears as well, something that kinda goes along with that (to me anyway) is loss of independence... at least for the beginning anyway while you were getting used to things if it was something that was brought on suddenly.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LadyKylin In reply to Lish-55 [2012-06-17 13:57:58 +0000 UTC]

That's part of it, the being dependant on other people utnil your fine on your own, but I love music, and there is so much that I use music to help me with that not being able to hear would be devestateing. Same with lose of sight, I'm a visual artist and a writer, if I couldn't see how on earth am I supposed to write and read and draw?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lish-55 In reply to LadyKylin [2012-07-21 10:21:54 +0000 UTC]

Def makes sense. I broke my ankle a few years ago and spent most of my time drawing while I couldn't move. I just kept thinking how unbelievably bored I would be if I had broken an arm at the same time or something.
