My submission entry for my college exhibition.
Theme : Hero.
But why I gave the bleeding whore as its image?.
The most essential thing about Hero nowadays is Honesty. We're not talk about Heroes in the past which of course, won't be found now. But from my point of view, Hero is somehow who could proudly admit themselves. Those braveness... is absolutely awesome.
Yeah yeah I know it's kinda sensitive image. But it's important for me to keep this idea, and its kinda testing out my brave to hold this concept and proudly show it to you all.
Maybe the idea and concept of this pic still too raw and you can gimme some better suggestion, I'm open myself
And no..not yet to Mature Content until someone told me to for I'm wracking someone's brain and innocence.
PS. I'm using my Original Character design, Valkyrie the killer prostitute [link] and adjust some or her style [and changing her current color palette]. Becoz I know she's the most suitable one for this concept

It's kinda of raw concept when I work at this pic, but I know I didn't gave the 'whore' impression much on it, that's why it still lead to so many missconcept and misscommunication when I show this specially at the exhibition
but it's kind of joy to got so many speculation and shared concept from anyone who saw this to make me improved, so I keep to hold the result. Thank you for sharing your though

mata pertama liat, nangkep darah. and there's nothing else to drew my eyes at. dan pemikiran ku, sebagai viewer, berhenti di "she's a whore. lalu?" dan stuck. kesan '
inspirasinya kan 'honesty'-self acceptance. dari situ ngambil sub-konsep 'a whore who is proud of herself'. tapi then again, gara2 sub-konsep itu, fokusnya jd ke 'whore', dan konsep awal ttg self acceptance ga seberapa keliatan?

I really like the picture, but until I read your artist's comment box, I perceived it as "virginity". Mungkin karena sekelilingnya putih dan cerah, yang bikin kesan "pure" dan "innocent".
Tapi setelah baca artist comment-nya, me jadi inget quote ini; "We become geishas not to pursue or destiny, we become geishas because we have no choice." (ga nyambung ya? ya sutralah *gajelas*)
