NOTE: The head pattern is not mine. I edited it slightly for these dolls. I can't remember where the original came from. I think it was from a BabyLondonStar pattern. I included these pieces for the benefit of anyone wanting to make a doll like the ones I did.
This pattern is very simple, but some notes on construction . . . The long neck part is meant to be stuffed tightly and mostly hidden up within the head for stability(A stick could also be inserted in the neck for extra stability)
The body pieces get sewn all the way around except for the bottom straight line. The straight line of the bottom gets sewn to the oval "bottom of body" piece.
I recommend weighting the body down to balance the big head. I used a metal oval weight I found in the fishing section at walmart.
