Description My merman character! Ural! ^_^ I was looking around for different kinds of fish and realized a flying fish merman would be so cool! Not only can he swim- but he could leap high enough to board ships!
Ural is 14, and is the son of a coral crafter. He's daily duties enclude harvesting coral types, and learning the trade of his father which turns coral into tools and items. Urals older brother Manou serves the kind as a knight. Ural actually wants to serve the King as well, but knows how important crafting is to his father.

iv drawn a flying fish type before his fin/wings were bigger and were longer than his arms. the concept is lovely good job

I thank you for this particular comment because I have been tweaking his form a little after closer inspection of the tail vs the male torso. I owe you for for better inspection of the tail, so if his form improves- pat yourself on the back please.

Nice idea. It's good to see a male mer character, you see so many mermaids that I'm amazed the species hasn't died out yet. The only thing I wonder about in this case is Ural's wings. They seem a little short for him to fly with but that could just be the angle he's at. I love his colour scheme!

hmmm, you know I actually thought they were too long- but I can try that out actually! See how he looked with longer wing-span. Err..Fin-span.XP
Thanks for your critic- and yah I was really happy with his colors! I've seen many combinations and I was trying to go for a different combination that could be reconizable for him in the future.
