Ehe!I'm back again! For a brief play away from my art history essay (RHYMES
)Alriight, this isn't great I know, but! This was just a little thing I'd sketched to get my mind off college work at first, I thought it might be worth using & ended up inking it for the *color-me-club s 'Seasons' contest. (This would be Spring time!)
I was aiming for something really simple & with lots of space, since someone told me that colourists prefer that sort of thing so they have more control over the finished piece. I hope all that blank space gives someone the freedom to enjoy this, I hope someone (anyone!) decides to colour it, I might give it a go myself eventually.
As per usual, please NOTE ME with a link to any colourings you've done so I can comment & fave (I fave every colouring of one of my linearts!) & don't forget to credit me as lineart artist in your description, thankyou

How do you color it, because when I do it, it always go's over the lines.

What I do is open it in Photoshop, turn it into a greyscale image (image>mode>greyscale), then make white the main colour I have selected, & go to select>colour range> & up the fuzziness 'till it has all the white selected, then whack delete! Then I colour on new layers underneath the line layer. Hope that made some sense lol

I hope I shall be getting more done as well! I might start putting up more work that I've done in college, although most of it is awful, since I don't get enough time to do my own stuff very often anymore ;_;
My college finishes in like June or something, at the moment I'm looking for universities to do my degree in illustration at ^^ It's terrible scary I tell you that, I'm looking forward to getting some time off!

Well I have not been doing that much work lately, I have been writing some and I have been working on some of the stuff in my class some. It's been fun but most of it is not the kind of stuff that I would post. I have posted a few of the collages and the like. And I have posted some of my photos that I have reworked, but the thing is I want to rework some more before I post them all and I want the posts to come in the middle of the day so that more people get the chance to see them.

I like it very much, it is definitely simple and open enough for coloring, but also has a great deal of motion and I like the expression and position very much.

I'm so glad you think so; I have a really bad habit of over detailing my work & I think a lot of the time that ruins the feelings I try to get across, so it's nice to know that I managed something good with my simple drawing ^__^
