.... hopefully the changes to the categories will smooth themselves out soon. Grr.Anyways, the few of those who know me IRL may have heard me talk about my Mermaid Project, and those who don't may be wondering what's been keeping me so busy.
The project: a series of 10 illustrations (plus front n back cover) of mermaids for a self-published author. The guidelines for each drawing were quite specific.
It's been a challenging project because I am working in a different style than I am used to, to very specific specs, and rendered pencil sketching is not exactly my forte.
At any rate, here's a peek at the infamous Mermaid project.

Wow Ash, it is very beautiful. You're right, it is definitely not your normal style, but that doesn't seem to hold you back at all. It is very well done, and an interesting image to boot. I love it. The hair especially looks gorgeous!

I'm amazed that this is a style that you're not comfortable in, and yet it seems so very confident and is so well done.
