Well this took over a month to finish. On and off obviously. I was getting annoyed with it so I rushed the background a bit. Unfortunately with the type of paper, I couldn't get Padme's face very well cause it's so small.The nature of this picture is self explanatory I should think. For anyone who understands ALL the Star Wars movies.
After a battle with a survivor of Order 66, Vader undergoes some repairs. With Palpatine not looking, he pulls out an old hologram of the man he was and the woman he loved more than anything.
He thought he was saving her, but he ended up destroying her and everything he knew because of his dark master's Sith lies of power along with his own selfish stupidity. That is what destroyed him. Not Obi-Wan, not the Jedi. Himself. And now he lives with the burning pain of the fire that engulfed him on Mustafar for the rest of his life. Left with nothing but his pain.

How could he though? Palpatine always supported and encouraged Anakin. Windu always mistrusted and doubted him.

Shadow: I'm doing it for you... to protect you!
Katara: Come away with me... help me raise our puppies. Leave everything else behind while we still can!
Shadow: Don't you see? we don't have to run away anymore. I am more powerful than the Chancellor... I-i can overthrow him, and together you and I can rule the galaxy, make things the way we want them to be!
Katara: I don't believe what I'm hearing... Loki was right! you've changed!!
Shadow: I don't want to hear anymore about Loki... the Jedi turned against me! don't you turn against me!!
Katara: I don't know you anymore... Shadow, your breaking my heart. You're going down a path that I can't follow *sobs*
Shadow: Because of Loki?
Katara: Because of what you've done... what you planned to do. Stop stop now come back! I love you!!
Shadow: LIAR! Β

The path of the Chosen One was not an easy path..... neither was it the most merciful path. In my opinion, the Force had forged its own path for Anakin Skywalker.
One thing about the Jedi's "prophecy" of the Chosen One was that not only was it a JEDI prophecy, but it was also completely one-sided. All that was said about the Jedi's Prophecy was that the Chosen One was to destroy the Sith and bring balance to the Force. However, it never said HOW this would play out. The Jedi shouldn't have been so immersed in their prophecy.
I also believe that Anakin Skywalker's turn to the Dark Side was necessary to bring balance. You can't expect to bring balance to anything without giving something to both sides of the scale. And the Jedi seem to misunderstand the Dark Side of the Force. It's just as much a part of the Force as the Light Side is. Even George Lucas himself said that the ramifications of the Light Side winning out would have been just as bad as the Dark Side winning.
As Anakin Skywalker, he fought and won many battles for the Republic. He killed many Sith, including Count Dooku.
As Darth Vader, he brought the Empire into power. He also killed countless Jedi, including his own master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Also with the death of Palpatine and ultimately himself, Anakin/Vader did bring balance to the Force. In the end, there were no more Jedi or Sith. Nothing but a clean slate for the Force to start anew. And it started with his son: Luke Skywalker.

I've always been captivated by the idea of this sort of scene. It's something you could really see happening behind closed doors or in his own chambers. Vader is always haunted by his destruction of everyone and everything he loved, tortured by the loss of himself, his friends and of course his Padme. Nice job capturing the scene.

Thanks you, someone gets it! and really, where is everyone getting the "It all Obi-Wan's fault" thing anyway?! as far as what i can tell, all he did was train Anakin the same way he was trained, so it was all Anakins fault because of his attachment to Padme and his unborn children and his protective nature caused him to do the things he did. (does that sound right, it seems like one of the things that sounded better in my head...)

Palpatine's to blame as well. "You are the most gifted Jedi I have ever met" Always telling Anakin he's better than the other Jedi. And Anakin wanted that. Yes, Obi-Wan was rough on him when he was younger but so what? They're not perfect. They're people. Mortal people who make mistakes.

Exactly, and that's exactly what Palpatine wanted and as we found out in AOTC Anakin thought Obi-Wan was jealous and blamed him for everything.

It shows that there is indeed still some of Anakin left in Vader, because he still has the holotape. He could have thrown it away, but he didn't because it was special to him.

The Jedi are also responsible. Padme should of listened to Vader and they would of been able to overthrow the Empire.
