I don't know what to upload, anymore! But I need to keep myself alive on here, so it's just to say that I'm still here until I can find some more complete stuff to upload. I have some sketch commissions I could pile together and submit with permission if anybody is interested.Truth is, I'm busy, tired, upset, lost, demotivated and fed up apart from the happy spells that people give me. It's a matter of complications regarding my attitude towards who I am, and selling myself short so I can just get things done and over with.
Blabbering aside, I decided to just to a 'study' for the sake of it. I need to keep sketching and practicing a variety of things.
This is just a quick lighting thing--it's not marvellous, but it was fun, and it all counts towards something.
The people are Clive and Luke from the Professor Layton series. This wasn't intended to be fanart, but putting them in just made it a little more fun for me.
I gave Clive glasses for the lulz. No other reason. Fangirls, stay away from my throat.
My dearest told me that Luke looked fed up in this picture, as if he wanted the Professor helping him study rather than Clive.
My take on the image was both of them doing work of some sort, with Clive helping a puzzled and frustrated Luke at the same time.
What do you think's happening?

I love the feel of the picture, the lighting makes me think of a gloomy day and being stuck inside.
and I LOVE the glasses, they make Clive seem so... mature.

Hmmm! A gloomy day! I guess since I didn't paint anything in the window, it kind of looks gloomy-ish, maybe foggy. I never thought about that. XD

I saw this in my inbox and went: "wooow" The thumbnail looked so awesome, and this is just goregous! 
I love the atmosphere. I'm getting the impression Luke is fed up with studying, or he really doesn't want to be figuring out that puzzle, haha something along the lines of "I don't want to be here right now."

Haha, thanks for your take on the image! I do get the "I don't want to be here right now" kind of vibe from him, looking back at it. He looks kinda tired.
Ah, to be honest, I've been reluctant to call it an 'identity crisis', but I'm having a lot of issues that make it feel like one. Maybe it is, I dunno. I've had it for a while, but it's really caught up with me, lately...

Gosh i really want to play professor layton but i just KNOW i would get pissed at it. Because sometimes i am just not good at puzzles.

i just love your art. The sketchiness of it really makes it yours, and especially the fact that you aren't afraid to mess with colors and set everything up in a different, unique, yet beautiful lighting.

Haha, regarding Luke's expression and pose it makes me think he's been daydreaming off somewhere else and would rather not be studying. Then he remembers Clive is there and has to get back to work "aw mannn"
BUT THAT'S JUST WHAT I WOULD DO IN THIS SITUATION XD Especially with a lovely tempting window to stare out right there to tease me. But Luke probably likes study more than I do?
Or he's paying hard attention to what Clive is saying. It's very open actually XD
I really love your rough, scribbly style. I don't say that enough times as I would like to.
Bit really.
Even though there are rough objects around for a background, I find the less amount of refinement and detail makes me focus more on the characters. Especially with the light making them 'pop out.'

;n; I'm really thankful for people saying that they like the sketchy-ness. I used to hate my sketchy-ness and try to eventually aspire to stuff maybe even as clean as *doubleleaf 's work, but... along the way, I realise more and more that the sketchy-ness gives it life, I suppose. And whenever I try to do something clean, I usually spend too long on it and it becomes a bit lifeless... but that's me.
I'm really glad I got a good composition in this one~ Thank you so much for picking up on it!
