Description
yet another boar-jet like the
a-10 warthog
, the prowler (also sometimes known as the african or ethiopian warthog) leans more on a carnivorous diet than it's mongolian-american cousin. commonly found in the tropical parts of africa, prowlers have been known to hunt and kill prey, especially the old and weak. on some occasion, it will go the kleptoparasite rout and try to steal carcasses from other predators. of course from time to time the prowler will also eat various plant matter like leaves, fruits and whatnot.
like the warthog, prowlers have been tamed and domesticated. alot of ethiopian tribes / villages have each family own a prowler as not just a hunting companion, but also a general mount. although the american airforce have retired the breeding programs, many are kept as pets and education material. domestic prowlers, when properly handled and raise, are reportedly less aggressive than warthogs. however they aren't as popular due to their stubbornness and difficulty training.
