ok, so basically...

...airtractors (or in this universe, "feilhounds") are just tall, leggy sighthounds. actually, they're classified as a racing breed by some breeder association, which is just a way of saying "bred to be fast on ground". not all racing breeds were made for racing, most were bred for hunting or chasing fats-moving animals. in the feildhound's case, their job is to chase pest (deer, unicorns, birds, etc.) out of the crop fields, though in some cases they are trained to also hunt and kill the animal. beyond that, their temperament on on par with that of a golden retriever, being well domesticated enough to be good pets.

the main drawing is loosely based off of the military variants, the drawing on the top right is an aerotherian interpterion of a floatplane's floats and totally not a reference to a sequel of a spinoff movie.
