This drawing of tails is in honor of my grandmother and the rest of my family who encouraged me to keep drawing. Tails is significant because he was one of the first characters I ever tried to draw. I was a big Sonic buff back in the day (collected the comic books, loved to read and draw them) and my grandmother helped me to develop a type of spatial ability, never candy-coating answers, always critiquing me with honesty and understanding. I developed my ability to draw because of Sonic, because of her, and will always hold this comic and these characters close to my heart because of that simple reason.

I may not be perfect, but at least I still have the will to keep going!

Hence why the title of this picture is "Nostalgia"

Here's Tails, nearly 18 years after the very first attempt. If I can dig up my first attempt at him when I visit her next week, I'll post here for the sake of contrast. So keep an eye on this page and hopefully I'll be back with a comparison.
