Description
this story takes place after the last episode of the fifth season. If you want to enjoy this comic a bit more, watch the clone wars second season episodes: weapons Factory and brain invaders. and don't forget to watch the last three episodes of the fifth season, if you want to understand this story better.I hope the wait was worth it.

It's my pleasure. I personally think the betrayal of Barriss and Ahsoka friendship is a great topic that deserves to be really developed. It is tragic aspect of the characters is very little used in the original series.

This looks interesting, wonder what Barriss's fate will be; I can think of a few possible outcomes:
1. Darth Maul takes her as his second apprentice and she and Maul plot to destroy Sidious and Dooku, they fail and die.
2. Barriss escapes and becomes a Seperatist commander, while Ventress rejoins the Jedi Order and kills her.
3. She survives Order 66 and forms her own rebellion, then dies by Vader's hand.
4. She escapes and she and Ahsoka meet again: results unknown.
Either way, I believe that Darth Sidious has plans for her.

5. Survives o66 & becomes a Sith Inquisiter.

We'll have to see if Rebels does anything with her character. We know her master died during or shortly after Order 66, but Barriss is not seen. When the Pau'an Inquisitor died, Darth Vader was brought in at the end of the season.

I must say I loved all these options, especially 2 and 3.
I never thought to make a sequel of this story, but your options are quite interesting to develop.

I think that Ventress rejoining the order would be a bit of a stretch for her, and quite unlikely. If she wanted to rejoin the Order, she would have attempted to do so. According to Star Wars Insider, Ahsoka left the order partly because she realized what Barriss said was true.
I can imagine Barriss escaping and finding Ahsoka after Order 66 and saying, "So now you see the truth Ahoska"
Doubt Barriss would have any desire to kill her former friend, would be cool to have her and Ahoska join the Alliance.

when I finished this comic, I was wondering what motivated barriss to do what she did, and a friend of mine told me he wrote a fanfiction called 'the dying of the light' and its four sequels 'on the run'; I strongly recommend you to read this fanfiction; especially because 'the dying of the light' is my next clone wars comic ^_^

Your work is simply amazing and breathtaking. Never have I seen a comic so faithful to the original story yet has at the same time an imagined continuation that links in perfectly to the initial plot. This might be the best fan-made star wars comic I have read so far, so again great work!
I do hope that there will be another comic which will continue on this post-Star Wars The Clone Wars season 5 story, and I will be looking forward to it with great interest.

well, as I said in my last journal, I have good news: I'm working on a comic that, without knowing, was linked to my story. this new story is about what made barriss to do what she did and what ahsoka reaction to that. It's a three chapters story called: 'the dying of the light'. I will upload page one soon, as a preview, god willing. ^_^
