Description
Home of the cold, land of frost....except today
took time out from painting to do a more detailed portrait..
I realize why I stay away from doing light hair portraits--it is easier than doing dude scruff tho'
thanks for takin' a look.

Thanks, I don't really have the time to put a visual together on the how-to but I can tell you it's layers (upon layers) of low opacity (transparent) white and dark blue "strands" built up. For a bit more depth I also did some gradient mesh work where the darker tones are and set it in the opacity menu as 'darken' and adjusted the opacity down (10-15% range). Hope that helps a bit or at least gives you an idea

I am highly allergic to them (Not in the sense that if I get bit I die; but more so that I react very badly to bites and they stay for weeks) and apparently my blood tastes like candy because they always pick me over everyone around me.
AND I JUST REALIZED WE BOTH HAVE ARSENIC IN OUR USERNAMES. I guess us Minnesotans like elements and stuff lol

Haha, is it actually warm in Minnesota today? I have relatives who live there, so I hear about the weather quite a bit. I've visited during July and August (though August this year was pretty mild) and during November and December, so while I haven't been through the worst of it, I have seen summer and winter there. 
Weather aside, this piece is lovely. I adore how you shaded the skin without making it look like the person was sick or dead (as that's what happens with me XD). Very deserving of a DD!
