This here be a drawing I did for my friend Mari's birthday (KodakMoments493 <-- Go give her some love
) which I wanted to refrain from uploading until she'd seen it herself- she's 17 in two days' time, but I gave it to her today, mainly because I was originally going to give it to her for her 16th birthday, but never found time to sit down and finish it.That is, until I got taken on a holiday on a boat, where there is very little to do. And when I say a boat, I don't mean a cruise. I mean a narrowboat. On a canal. In the West country and Wales. And it rained. Hence, I sat down for 7 or 8 hours straight to finish it off.
So here it is. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAAAAAARIIIIIIII! Have a luurvely day. Someday, I swear I'll rent a sleigh, attach some antlers to dogs and ride around outside your house calling your name until you come outside and I can throw Christmas socks at you. In multiple colours. It may or may not be Christmas at the time, I'm not fussy.
Materials are the usual: Graphite pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 5B, 6B) and an HB mechanical pencil; rubber; kneadable eraser; tissues for blending and an immense amount of patience with the damn hair. Didn't really keep track of time, but I'd guess it took anywhere between 25 and 30 hours. =]

The boat kinda sounds like fun. Though that may be because there's something about the Welsh and West country accents.. I never get tired of them. Probably because of Bill Bailey's many wonderful cider festival jokes. You and I should totally get together and have a Bill Bailey fest at somepoint. It would be awesome.
God, I can't beleive Mari's 17 already. I feel like such a baby in comparison.

Aha it would have been fun in that manner, if we ever went anywhere apart from the towpath when mooring and doing locks, the inside of the boat, or pubs or restaurants along the canal for dinner or lunch. Barely heard the accents. =[

Mmh, and she's already got her provisional licence. She's planning on starting driving lessons pretty much the moment she turns 17. =S

Oooh jelousy. I can't wait till the day I'm old enough to badger my cousin into teaching me to ride a bike (by which I mean motorcycle, not, you know, a bicycle - I can ride on of those already. No stabalizers or anything.)

Yes. We have to have lunch one of these days. Let me know what days you have free periods in the afternoon, and we could meet for a late lunch at EB then. I'm on a bi weekly schedule, so we may have to wait a couple of weeks, but then again we get to leave as soon as lunch starts if we have afternoon frees, and I think someone told me you guys have to stay for registration

S'good so far, but we've had more induction stuff, which is really freaking dull. I've got P-M and Critcher for Maths, Cooke and Nelkin for Physics, Tricket and the lady Hobbs for Biology and Swift and Esler for German.
Mmh, I only have one afternoon free, and it's period 7 Friday, so we'd have to be pretty quick eating. Year 12s can leave school from 1.15 onwards, and there's no afternoon registration for sixth form anymore, so as long as I turn up to lesson 8 after signing back in the sixth form block, I'm okay. Also, I've got double PE on Wednesday afternoons, but even though I've got a double free lessons 5 and 6, we're not allowed to leave before the end of lesson 6 unless we're in year 13. I may be able to get out of PE, but it's unlikely, because it's Miss Siwek taking the register. =/ Basically, If you're free between 1.30 and 2.30ish on Fridays, we can meet then. =]

Not a bad mix of teachers, but you do have Cooke. Cooke is so the reason I never understood physics. Then again, I bet Nelkin and your superior intellect will make up for it.
Dang, I don't have either Friday afternoon off, or even a Wednesday. Though by the way, HA! You have to do P.E. We have pool tables and ping pong tables and basketball courts open all the time. It's AWESOME. You know, if I can find a way to make all the mean six foot boys to let me play and not squish me. I'm a grown up sixth former, I promise.

SO it's not all fun and laughs.

It all looks really good. Hair is always difficult to draw and getting it to look half decent is a challenge but yours looks really good! The effort you put in was definately worth it
