Description The life of a fan girl will be different to yours
to us the lives of the mortals are terrible bores.
We wander through fan fiction, fan art and photos
and every tiny fact will be one all of us knows.
The 'normal' live in their plain reality
we live in strange lands, in magic and fantasy.
They tell us we are weird and have no life
we say, 'you have nowhere to turn to in your time of strife.'
We walk among them, calm and polite
but the minute we are mentioned they break into fight.
When we write about slash they say we're sin
but we say, is this a world with no love we live in?
when we carry on stories that the authors will not finish
we are keeping alive a world that could so easily diminish.
They call us freaks and hate all of our work
we keep on writing with a playful smirk.
They will never keep us down
just because our happiness makes them frown.
We will fight for our fandom through thick and thin
because we know Sherlock, Harry, Dean and Sam will never give in.
