a commission for . So the commissioner asked me if the recent version of Kaa which is female could internalize his character. though I've not had much experience with drawing Kaa, I decided to borrow a few of the sketches from another comic of mine which I haven't posted yet which was based off another artist's style. Theirs is more closely linked to Kaa's cartoony style anyway.Related content

It’s supposed to be a Jungle Book and Jumanji crossover.
The boy is a character of mine named Jacob who is trapped in Jumanji so to pass the time he plays hide and seek with Kaa, who often playfully swallows him. Kaa is a good friend of Jacob’s and she also serves as a maternal figure for him.

Hide and seek in a forest? Sounds cool! Game might drag on for a while though.
This doesn't actually remind me of Kaa's artstyle. Must be the lack of comically-oversized eyes.

I like that they went with making Kaa female. It allows more for how the character is, being seductive for instance. That often works better with females.
Anyway, I think you did a decent job here. Kaa is certainly cartoony in this, so it could be hard to tell which version is depicted. But that's not to say it's bad, it's pretty good all in all.

I mean, maybe not the version in the movie, but this one doesn't seem too unfriendly. I mean, sure, she ate him, but he seems fine with it so I doubt there's any real danger... Or at least that's how I'm choosing to interpret it.

Hehe. That's more or less how Judith and I get along... And Judith's a pretty big snake, but not nearly on that level. Still not exactly cramped inside her, but definitely pretty cozy.

I got this idea for the request after I saw the new Junglebook movie obviously. Because I know the snake scene was a bit creepy but you had to admit that she was really trying to eat that boy.

Well yeah.. but i have to admit that i find myself curious about how it might have looked if that scene would have gone any further.
For one thing: one should never forget that the true Kaa is actualy friendly towards Mowgli.
So i like to image a scene similar to one from the "Where the Wild Things Are", in wich the kid in this movie got swallowed by one of the monsters, but only to keep him safe.
Something similar would have been... well interesting, i dare to say.

Right now, i work as a nightguard, 12 hours per shift, even on weekends. I come home, take a shower, sleep, eat and go back to work. Not much freetime in between.
It's not allways like that, mind you. Just currently there is more work to do then usual.

Yeah, this gallery does lack same size anthropodic preds, but I can understand that it'd be weird for him to go out of his comfort zone. Besides the cuteness of the pics keep me staying
