I love this killer droid since I fought him in N64's game "The Shadow of the Empire".

I remember this guy as a boss on the old N64 Shadows of the Empire game. He usually ended up killing me within less than a minute into the fight and was a pain to beat. But finally beating him was oh so satisfying! Awesome work!

IG-88 ready for action. I always wondered how he would move when on the job. Here the droid has a menace on the Terminator scale.

For some reason, since I only ever had an action figure of him and only saw him standing there in the movie, it never occurred to me that he could stand with his legs at an angle like that until I saw this picture.

thats what I thought that his legs couldn't bend outward also they don't in the shadows of the empire video game when you have to fight him.

Actually according to Star Wars canon, that was IG-72. Now in the game they said it was IG-88 but lore says IG-72.

IG-88 assassin droids are so awesome!! They have always been my favorite droids in Star Wars. 
I get the feeling this is how episode 4 should have been... instead of the trash monster, IG-88 appears!

I admit I had to Google this guy. But the image you've made here is very striking and creepy. I love, LOVE that rim-lighting. And that background has AMAZING depth. Love that you've got so much detail, without losing the divide between character and bg. This is my favorite lighting you've ever done. Just so you know.
