Description
The signature gun owned by The Professor randomness123212.deviantart.co…A steampunk style pistol converted from a Nerf gun.
I've added on a scope made from a simple metal tube covered in electrical tape. Cogs/gears from the insides of an old clock. And other miscellaneous parts. I then sprayed it black, and dry-brushed it with metallic grey and bronze paints.

heh not bad looking! Reminds me of that Pulse Gun or whatever name was it from UT 2004 that shoots green plasma!

Now that's a good idea. These two I've found look almost like a lasgun (Steampunk version). With a few modifications, they could look like the real thing [link] [link]

Looking at my Nerf model (The Maverick Rev-6), the barrel and handle has a good Bolt pistol look to it. It would just need some filling in to made the main body appear more 'blocky/square'.
I've also been thinking about trying a plasma pistol for my Inquisitor costume, but i haven't found a gun that looks right for conversion.

I would say add a plating over the gun to give it that blocky effect.
Why have a plasma pistol when you can have Flame pistol besides they are easier to make then a Plasma Gun.

I've played the tabletop game a couple of times, and I have Space Marine on the PS3, but I guess I'm more a collector if anything.

one time when i was playing the tabletop game at a games Workshop store, I was in charge of 5 grots. I was charged by a unit of 10 space marines, and they killed all but one. The remaining grot passed all his leadershiop/etc tests, and then killed all 10 marines without taking a hit!!!

Are you sure they were not ork shootas XD, but, still that's very impressive.
I had a squad of 10 marines in a battle once fighting genestealers a whole squad of them all died expect one and this marine lived thought the whole battle alone and did not get killed by the genestealers.
