it was awesome.
in the time i was there i got to cast this hand. and i also got to work on fossilized kangaroo skulls (cleaning and assembling them)
a year or so later they sent me an invite to join them down at naraccorte caves for a week to do a dig in the caves

How long ago was all this?
2012 (i think) i spoke to some paleontologists from flinders at the Naracoorte caves in one of the (fossil preperation?) buildings/labs on site, and got to take a look at some of the fossils they had excavated recently. Most of it was trays of tiny jaws and shards of bones from small marsupials, but there was plenty of other megaufaunal remains. If i remember correctly they had a Thylacoleo sp. skull on site. Ill see if i have a photo of it somewhere

ooo, i think it was about 1992 or 1993
it's amazing just what they were and still are finding there.
it would be cool if you could find those pics
