Yes it is. I was starting to think people forgot the wiki existed.

Are you one of the writers for it?

Been so since 2010. I have the responsibility (I say that, seeing as no one else volenteered and community voting went nowhere)Β of updating the front page every month for the Zoid/Pilot of the week and did write a bunch of character pages.

oh cool.
It's a great wiki. Like i said, i found it useful for references and info (I'm 36 and was talking to some friends about remembering zoids from way back in the 80's. This site helped me figure out which ones i remembered seeing as a kid)

Glad to know it helps! Nice to see some of the OAR fans around as well!

What can I say, I'm old (36)

When the 1999 range came out, the first thing that struck me was how familiar they looked. I was sure i could remember them from my childhood. and when I looked on the wiki and saw the OAR, I recognized the heads instantly. also those distinctive caps they have on the joints.

Hey, you're not alone there with age. I'm 20 myself (still young, I know) but there are some collectors up there in the 40s!

Funny story with those caps. No one has any idea what they're called or their purpose in Zoids canon. Least no one in the community I know.

I guess as long as you like it, then there's nothing wrong with it
It is, after all, a part of my childhood, and something I grew up with

The other day i managed to place an order for a Geno saurer and a geno breaker!!

interesting. they are unique to the zoids range

Zoids was the same for me. It was my first "true" anime and a pretty big coner stone in my childhood.

Very nice! I have a Gemo Saurer myself and it's one of my favorite models to say the least. I have it posed up on a shelf with my Blade Ligers. They're tough kits to work on, but great none-the-less.

I recall one episode of Guardian Force mentions the caps during a Sinker race, but it was a brief mention at that.

There is just something about it that captures the imagination

Cool. do you have pics of that?

I don't quite remember that. I'd have to see it again to refresh my memory.

Yeah. I also found the series as a whole to be very immerse (I like series that are). Where, sure I could follow the canon stories. Or I could make my own. And with Zoids, it's easy to do.

Well I have a picture of my Geno SaurerΒ  but not with it by my Blade Liger. I can upload a quick pic of that if you like.

As for the sinkers, it was episode 19 of Guardian Force/episode 53 of Chatoic Century. I have it on DVD, so I may skim through it to see what they say about the caps.

so true.

nice. I know of a small shop here in adelaide that specializes in japanese pop culture (manga, anime, modles, games, etc), and ordered a geno saurer and a geno breaker. hopefully I'll have them in about 4 weeks

cool. might get some useful info

We have a few shops around my area like that as well (mostly in the mall). They're pretty nice, but most of the stuff there doesn't cater to my taste. Lack of figma and Zoids.
