Lol I still have yet to train one myself. I've litter trained rabbits before so it should be easy.

Iv'e had plenty of rats, only one has been trained, but she came like that, she went in the corner automatically, I think she was also one of the few that I've had that were specially bred for being pets instead of feeders. I don't know how to train them.

oh it's super easy! You just move their little poops into the 'litter box' (you can buy corner litter boxes or create one. Put a different type of bedding/litter into it like alphalpha pellets.) . Rats will usually go to the bathroom in one corner anyway, so just put the litter box in that corner and All should be well. ^_^

I might try it, would kitty litter work? Like in the corner box, not for the cage >.< (Lost a guinea pig to that mistake, but it wasn't my idea)

kitty litter is too dusty, it's not good for their respiratory system
