Well, here's something different. I had been looking at 6SeaCat9 's Journey to the West AU pics, and after looking into the original story, I thought making my own JttW OC would be fun. Also getting some practice drawing kids and dragons.

So, this is Shan-Jiang Long, also known by his nickname, Spritz. His name pretty much translates to "mountain river dragon", and he is a young river spirit.

Spritz was born when an earthquake cracked open a mountain, and freed a lake on the mountains top; creating a waterfall that formed a new river in the valley below. Being the personification of this young river, Spritz is taken to one of the nearby temples to study and train to be a better river guardian.

Being new to the world, Spritz is very friendly, but far too trusting. He's placed under the tutelage of ZiJing WuFeng (Breezy) and Sun Wukong , whose teachings are often at odds with each other. While Breezy is trying to teach Spritz to be virtuous, Sun wants to teach the young dragon to be a prankster and a mischief-maker; often taking Spritz on prank sprees.

Since Spritz is young, his magical capabilities are currently limited. As a river spirit, he is a strong swimmer, and bend small amounts of water to his will. He can also shape-shift, but only into small animals and inanimate objects; his preferred transformation of choice being a teacup whenever he is frightened.
