Hello, since you entered the Feedback Frenzy Artwork I´ll do my best to give you a good feedback :3
First of all - great shot
I do agree with Amarantheans to focous more on either the land or the water, but since the awesome light beam is the foucus, you should have turned the camera more towards the river.  If I see the light beam as the subject I try to isolate it (in my mind) from the rest of the picture. Starting on the left side of the picture and go right until the edge of the cloud. Then I draw a vertical "mind"line right into the middle and move the camera to that point. I hope you know what I mean. It´s early in the morning and my english is still kind a sleep.
But the thing that confuses me the most are the bushes on the bottom. It looks like they got copied. You can clearly see it at the red bush til to the far left. What happend there?
Anyways, keep your art going!

Hey Christina

Hehe - I entered the Feedback Frenzy because it seems like a chance for me to get a real, detailed opinion of the impact the viewer has while looking at my work
I agree with everything you said regarding the focus - it was a photo taken in rush, because it was such a windy day, that this particular view lasted for less than a minute.. so it was all speedy and trying not to catch any trees on the left side (because there were a few), no time to change my lenses, and it resulted... well we can all see the result

What happened in the bottom is.. I took a suggestion to straighten the horizon.. and instead of cutting unnecessary empties, I badly cloned them...

Thanks for your honest feedback , and have a lovely weekend

Thanks, you too! You are welcome!

I see, and I know what you mean You did the right thing taking the picture. Wothoit wasting time so that moment/view could pass by. Always go for that

And about the cloning thing things happen

Sunlight has a way of looking as if it has a life all itself as it illuminates our world. I love the soft rays as they enter the photograph. Now the issue is that it seems the right side of the photograph is in focus while the left is more of a blur. I am sure that the light itself influenced this, in your case. I would suggest for next time to choose either the sky or the land/water to focus in on rather than a bit of each. This will give your photo more detail to draw the eye across the entire photo as you view it, I just feel pulled in different directions, trying to view the light but also trying to see what is more in focus.

Absolutely gorgeous landscape. I love the subtle variety of the sky, from dusty brown to gray-blue. The rays of light you caught are perfect. One thing that sticks out, however, is the editing done at the bottom, specifically the left corner into the center of the image. Looking through the other comments, I see that this was down to correct an issue seen with the horizon line. I would look into some clone-tool tutorials to make the editing less noticeable. (:

Thank you for the feedback and honesty, Katie I will take in consideration your advice - I  know I have to also study a bit photo-editing, but I still hide under the excuse of not having enough time ^^

totally valid reason, I wouldn't call it an excuse at all!

I call it an excuse, because one shall always find time to do things they love and reveal other side of the human being

Hi Laura! Thank you for submitting to for feedback!
What a beautiful capture you have here! Since you submitted for feedback, I do have just one suggestion for you:
- the horizon appears to be rather crooked. I would advice you to straighten that out using the crop/rotate tool of your photo editing software.
Other than that, I have no feedback for you! This is a gorgeous scene, and you have captured it very well! Keep it up!

Hey Monique! Thank you for the feedback and the suggestion I just have one question - which horizon do you mean? I will try t edit it as you suggested, to see what come's up, but if you're talking about the water horizon, I hope the mountains won't look awkward. (I'll edit it in a couple of minutes and come back with feedback
