Description Pen and Ink on 11x17 Bristol
This is the Morrigan, also spelled Morríghan or Mór-ríoghain in Modern Irish. She is a figure from Irish mythology who was considered the goddess of battle, strife, and sovereignty. She sometimes appears in the form of a crow or raven. I started thinking of her after reading a novel where she appeared as a minor character.
A fun piece to draw - I like design and... hair.

I can really stare at your works for hours, drifting of in thought, wondering what you thought of when you drew this. c:

Thank you!  Ah.... the Morrigan!  I was reading the Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne - and he covers quite a bit of celtic mythology and characters in his books.  I love his portrayal of the Morrigan - and how she shows up (quite often) naked with just her hair tantalizingly covering (or not covering) bits of her.  I started drawing her with her raven... and then... me and hair... I just kind of went crazy.  LOL.
