First I want to say... Oh my God... I finally done with the third one from the series 'The Teachings' yay..!!
The Teachings Of War, big change and quite a little bit different with the sketch.
Changes includes : The spear become knife, less tatoos, simplier cloth, and no extra effect added. :]
Second thing is I knew I wasn't be able to make a good hand gestures, so please forgive my technical skill... ^-^ I will practice more.
The Teachings Of War :
There is always bond between life and nature, it's called war.
War, do you realize that we always in war? Well, the word war doesn't have to be a big huge battle between two forces, but let us in some different kind of views. War against yourself, war against laziness, war against choices. Symbol of war, the knife. We all know that when we talk about war, then it oftenly identical with weapons, not limited to visual weapon, but it can be anything. Words, mind, anger, and rage. And that three floating spirits are symbols of nature, life, and care. Because these are only three things that we always fighting for. And I always put three candles there... it's personal reason. ;]
That's the concept behind this painting.

Once again, very well said, in regards to defining "war". I agree; we are all more or less always at war, if anything else, with ourselves for any number of things.

Yes yes, it was the drawing and first idea of The Teachings Of War. Which I made some improvements when I moved it to a canvas painting. ;]

It's a conceptual painting, Fro. None of these essences has real function or purpose, so that three heads over there... Well, let's us say that they're just floating around.. like crazy.

For that there are four in total from the series, this one is the third. =]
Well.. if you ask for how many hours I did this painting, it's about ± 55 hours within 3 weeks.
