Keith Murray, from the band We Are Scientists, and the reference from which my username came. (their first album was titled 'With Love and Squalor')
drawn on 220gsm bristol board (first time iv used this, thanks to *Mad-Margaret for sending it to me
)hb & 2b mechanical pencils (mostly done with these)
3b &6b pencils
probably about 7 hours.
EDIT: iv rescanned this in a different, better, scanner. it should now be less grainy. also this time the contrast and colours are completely unedited. what you see is what you get

This looks a lot better than the first one, which I didn't really consider too much of a possibility. Good rescan and nice fancy signature on this.

awesome. i thought it looked better too, hence the change. and there was the exact same signature on the original submission. also, i didnt feel this was the best signature iv written out, but glad you like it

I think I like Matt better. otherwise it's like, Mr. Jarvis.
My signature is the lamest excuse for anything you've ever seen. However, I don't sign my drawings. 1) because my signature is crap, mentioned earlier. and 2) I don't want to upload it with my name on it because my last name has to go and be exclusive to my family so people could kidnap me. If they wanted to.

haha, 2 very reasonable reasons. although arent all reasons reasonable, would they not be a bit contradictory otherwise? hmm. but yes, i might stick to matt jarvis then. or even go more informal and use Matt J, thats what iv always been known as by my old friends. not with my new, uni friends though, im just Matt to them, thats not nearly as fun.

Yeah, it used to be when you sent me Facebook messages, they'd say "New message from Matt J!" It doesn't say that anymore, probably because you're too busy impressing your "new friends" to have time for the J.
