Great job on your sculpture. Love it. Im always on the look-out for ideas of how to sculpt with plaster, with the help of other materials to support it. I just learned this past semester in school how to build a wooden armature for plaster projects and it seems very useful, but hard to build for all poses i'd like to make. Is wire truly a good material to use for plaster modeling?

I often use a thick (3mm) iron wire for the "core of the core", and if it's not strong enough, I use several of these wires bond together. Then I add other things on the wire(s), such as crumpled paper, bond with tape, or polystirene, or rubber foam, whatever I find around and I think it can fit the goal.
I really don't have any rules about materials!
Anyway, keep in mind that plaster isn't good for places where it can absorb wetness, because it grows, absorbong water, and it can crack around a rigid core!

Increadable! was it hard to do? I mean clearly it took a lot of effort, but did you have to fight with it to look that great?

Uhm, not very much, it was mainly a matter of doing many many little steps, and wait each time for it to dry.
When all the process is clear in your mind, you can divide the task in many little moments and they're not hard, generally.

that's not a bad idea. I'll have to keep that in mind next time I do a sculpture.
