Description I had such high hopes for this one. I was actually trying to work on the background but after wasting days trying to make it look less of a blobby mess, I gave up in frustration and erased it all. At least Sam and Dean are still there.
Strathmore 400 Series Drawing paper, 2B 3B Blenders and a whole LOT of erasing.

wow, that much huh.... mer. maybe I won't get around to all of them...though right now I only watch Criminal Minds and Hannibal. Just so busy with DA and life...lol

Dean~ You drew him so amazingly well! Really really stunning. His face seems so real and you made so many details in the whole picture. I just love your way of drawing <3 But you shouldn't have made those lines in the background... they're kind of distracting

Aww..thanks for the kind words!  *lol* If you think the lines are kind of distracting you should have seen the blobby mess! It might have come out all right if I stuck with it but I had finished the best part of the picture (the boys, of course ) and then tried to work on the background.  It seemed so tedious, boring and ugly that I really got tired of trying to make it look as good as the rest of the picture.  I knew it was futile.

 Your comment about this piece of work made me chuckle, as I understand what you mean about working on backgrounds.  I always find that part the most challenging because my interest wanes when I tackle the background usually...but I think this great!  I love the side profiles that you've drawn of them both.  I always find side profiles more fiddly to draw and get stuck around the nose and mouth if I'm going to have any problems with my drawing/s.  This is lovely!

Thanks!  I was definitely losing interest trying to do the background.  I had Sam and Dean done pretty much how I wanted them and then came the background.....ugh! After a while I just wanted it done so I took the "easy" way out and erased it.  I think I'm just as happy with the results anyway-a background is superfluous when these guys are in the picture.*lol*

hehehe!  Yeah, when you have them in any picture, the attention goes to the foreground...them...always!!!!!  lol.  The thing is, because the picture covers a larger area, the background is going to be bigger to fill too, and I'm bad enough with keeping the interest drawing background even if it's just on a small piece of paper with hardly any area to fill !! lol.  Yeah, you should be just as happy.  I think it's lovely myself and I'm not just saying it to be nice.
