Co tu dużo gadać - utalentowany, znakomity aktor, obdarzony niesamowitym głosem wywołującym gęsią skórkę... Słowem jeden z moich ulubionych artystów.
Ehhh... Najpierw jako Hans Gruber, a później jako szeryf Nottingham podbił moje - wtedy około 7-letnie - serducho. I tak mi już zostało
. No cóż - zawsze miałam słabość do czarnych charakterów

Talented, excellent actor. The owner of an amazing, deep voice, which causes that cold shivers run down my spine everytime I listen to him. Simply one of my most favorite actors.
First as Hans Gruber and later as the Sheriff of Nottingham he captured my heart (I was about 7 years old then

It came like a bolt from the blue. The depressing and heartbreaking information that one of the best actors and my personal favourite artist passed away. The one who deserved to be called a true Star. It's such an unimaginable, irreparable and grievous loss not only for cinematography but also for family and fans. I still cannot believe in it, it's like a nightmare which makes me so sad and dejected. He has accompanied me since my childhood as Hans, Sheriff, Snape and as other characters. I dreamed that one day I'll see him on stage but this dream will never come true. He will remain in my heart forever...
We all will miss you Alan. Always.
And I'm not saying goodbye. I'm saying see you someday in a better world...

I do not remember precisely now, but I guess it took me about 30 hours. But the fact is I always draw things very slowly, and what's more - I do it quite rarely so my hand is not trained very well.

So I'm being called a liar cuz I painted with the same reference photo you used (as per lovely Google and some Russian site) cuz it was the biggest resolution photo that was totally awesome. And they directed me to WHY I'm a liar, and I looked at your work. OMG your traditional stuff is AMAZZZZZZING. I follow Dr. Pencil and he told me it's all in the paper. I used to do traditional but I'm such a perfectionist I just kept erasing and it would turn out mediocre. (Ralph Fiennes that I did still awesome though.) I wish I could see what the top of his head looked like in this cuz it's driving me crazy that I feel I need to crop it off like in the photo.
I love your values. Did you get his scar on his thumb? I can't tell. T_T I wanted to do this entire photo but I fear I'd just get called out for "copying" or "painting over" your work. So in this negative, I have found a new inspiration for traditional work, and something to look forward to every time you post! I LOVE artists that pay attention to detail. We are the perfectionists. You are amazing!!! And you're Polish! Whaaaat? So's my husband. YEAH!

I consider that every art that is based on the same reference picture will obviously be very similar to each other. So calling someone a liar because of similarity is quite unfair. I'm perfectionist too and that's why I think my works need polishing up cause I would like to draw as precisely as the reference pic is, to make my drawings look exactly like photos. My Alan does not have his scar and the cause is that I used to print references on A4 size paper sheet and draw my works looking at them. Unfortunately printouts are less detailed relative to original pictures on screen so I couldn't see his scar. (Now for shading I use references on the screen). But in the nearest future I'm going to change the clip frame, in which Alan's portrait is now, to wooden frame and then I'll make some corrections.

Yeah, honestly I feel the recently passed people like David Bowie and Robert Williams aren't actually gone. I know they have passed, but it really feels like they're still here living their lives or something. Well, that's just how I feel and thanks again for posting that beautiful work of someone that will echo through history. He was in my childhood and that's one reason I'm sad, but I try to find the beauty and peace in it. Haha, yeah he was the best XD
