You can use the pose, just don't copy the design. :3

Well, I got someone who's helping me a bunch, she already sent me the patterns(but my computer is stupid and prints them all out of proportion) and put up a tutorial for the frame. :3 but if you know the best stuff to fill a large plushie with to make it really soft and plooshy, and the best kind of stuff to weight the limbs and tail down with then that would be epic. :3

oh ok O:
uhm, I'm not sure, but beads work pretty well to weigh stuff down XD
At least I tend to put them in things like the plushies bottoms and feet, and it works pretty good
like you make a small pouch out of scrap material and put the beads in there c:
Rice works well too, but then you can take it overseas and such XD

Hmmmm...I do have a ton of beads. xD (I collected them as a little kid for no reason whatsoever)
Wait...so then you can or can't take it overseas?

with beads you can, but if you use rice you can't cuz of customs XD

um I'll draw up a pattern and post it for you, it'll just be a little bit
and i guess i could do some kind of instruction/tutorial along with it if you want

Lochingbird In reply to MaliceCedrus [2010-10-11 22:09:36 +0000 UTC]
That'd be awesome! Though I should go ahead and say that I'm going to try to make the bottom of the limbs(shoulder/thigh down) to be as free as possible and weighted down, and the antenna and tail are going to have wires supporting them. Just letting you know, 'cause a lot of tutorials I found haven't been of help 'cause they don't have that feature for them(at least for the limbs)

its going to take just a little while because I do everything by hand

Lochingbird In reply to MaliceCedrus [2010-10-12 01:41:36 +0000 UTC]
The pattern? Or do you mean you sew everything by hand?

MaliceCedrus In reply to Lochingbird [2010-10-12 01:56:47 +0000 UTC]
i sew by hand yeah

Here's the pattern. It should be scanned to scale so you could just print it and cut it out but if you resize, resize everything the same amount.

MaliceCedrus In reply to Lochingbird [2010-10-16 14:07:38 +0000 UTC]
not really sure, i have a lot going on right now
i will try to do something with it, at least the wire frame
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Lochingbird In reply to MaliceCedrus [2010-10-16 22:05:52 +0000 UTC]
Ah. Okay, The main things I need to know is about the wire stuff, how many of each piece I need, and how the limbs attack to the body, the rest I can do by myself.
Though quick question, will I sew on the markings and stuff on each individual piece BEFORE sewing any of them together, or after I sew a section(just before It gets too complicated)?

MaliceCedrus In reply to Lochingbird [2010-10-17 00:06:08 +0000 UTC]
its best to sew everything together but keep it flat, then attach the markings, then you can sew it all together

Lochingbird In reply to MaliceCedrus [2010-10-17 00:10:32 +0000 UTC]
Okay. :3
Oh, and when I printed out the patterns they turned out at different scales. :c I'm not sure sure how to fix this 'cause I'm not sure how big everything needs to be to fit.

MaliceCedrus In reply to Lochingbird [2010-10-17 00:20:27 +0000 UTC]
um i will check it out and send measurements
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
MaliceCedrus In reply to MaliceCedrus [2010-10-17 00:36:02 +0000 UTC]
okay
for the body, measuring from the v-notch of the neck to the bottom of the hind marking is 6 3/4 inches
for the tail, measuring from the top of the base to the mid-curve of the other side is 11 inches
for the leg, measuring from the middle of the top straight down is 6 3/4 inches
for the arm, measuring from the top of the middle straight down is 5 inches
and for the head, measuring part A from where it says 'f' straight to the opposite side just past the eye is 3 1/4 inches
if you keep all of the other parts within the same scan then they should scale down properly when you resize it
