these are some character sketches i drew for Virtual Fairground , for the development of an Alice in Wonderland MMO. i came up with it myself but the process of making it was guided by an art director from the company (Duncan Sandt). these sketches led to a final piece which is here - [link]drawn with a mechanical pencil and colors added digitally with photoshop.

did you know that there was a real alice little, whom this alice was based off of? except she had short black hair instead of long, blond. its just that the illustrator of the original poems imagined her with long blond hair.

my sister loves all of lewis carolls stuff,so i know a lot about it too. she's researched so much of it, and she works at a library so she's got connections.

omg! I loved ALice in Wonderland. Did you see the movie in theaters? It was amazing, truly portrayed. I caught the theme so obviously through out the whole movie. 
I like your character here. But in the original movie she was portrayed naive and innocent, just like a little girl. When she was older in the new movie, she was more like boring and gave that "I don't care" attitude most of the time so I think this does it well.

This is really cute, I love it. The only thing that I can find wrong with it is that the arms seem a bit too long where she's pouring the tea. You have a very unique style though, I love it. I don't think I've ever seen her drawn with such personality before. Very good for sketches.

i love how childish the baby-doll dress effect makes her look, but also she has that attitude that gives her this edge.
