Description "Many are the legends of Galinhad, Makuta-Bane! Even unendowed by toahood he did great good unto the Old World, rescuing those enslaved by vile tyranny and fighting those of blackened heart. It is he who rescued the Lady Soleku from the clutches of Teridax, who sought to end her, and did defeat the dark toa of Xia which plotted its downfall even after many comerades fell. He who led the Brothers In Arms!

"As a toa upon the New World he did join the Old Knights, and did marry Tanggri, daughter of Gringat, and did issue forth a son, and did fight in the First Skakdi war whereupon he defeated Nektann's dark lieutenants!

"He fell to the soulplague when Mata-Nui died, but his blood lives on in us! May we strive to face heroism in this way, that we despite not being endowed with the powers of a toa strike forth at evil and injustice! "

-From 'The Avdea' (Roughly translated as the 'Songs of Light'), an early New World Weavic text which forms a significant part of their holy book, 'The Hexarc'.

Galinhad is a main character of mine who features heavily in my secondary M.U. storyline (as opposed to Gringat's story). He only exists on Spherus Magna for a century. After that, the 'Soulplague' kills off most of the M.U's old inhabitants. I like him. He's fun.

Your Bionicles are truly a sight to behold. I don't think I've ever seen anything as creative or original as the stuff that you come up with. I also admire that you have created your own backstory for each of your original characters. As a matter of fact, I have even made some original Bionicles with some alternate mode capabilities like a Transformer. I never thought to upload any pics of them to DeviantART, but I think I might get around to it someday.

That sounds like a good idea. Alternate modes are tricky - or at least nothing I've ever been able to do well. A lot of people admire functionality like that in a MOC.

You keep making me go "wait, let me try that...well whaduyaknow, it works."

I'm glad. That happens a lot on MOCpages too. Since I don't claim rights to any of my designs, I get to see other people use them all the time. If they can figure them out. Muahaha.

Yeah same here. I don't say "no you can't use that design." I just ask people to credit me if they use something I came up with. So far I haven't actually ripped you off on one of my MOCs, I've just grabbed the pieces stuck em together and said "huh..." then threw em back. Your designs aren't overly complicated. You've probably got more angles and back shots of your MOCs on MOCpages but I absolutely detest that site. If I had more shots I could probably figure out what you did with most of your stuff. But sadly I don't have a lot of the pieces you use. My system stuff is pretty dated, I have one lego knight, and I'm lacking most of the later bionicle stuff since growing up, losing my allowance and no longer having funding for parts. Hell I have to scrape together the $$$ to get a canister set. I imagine a MOCer of your caliber doesn't have too much trouble figuring out my work.

I feel your pain on the money side. A combination of payfreezes on my parents and the churches finances going down the toilet (which pays me), I haven't had any money for months now. Can't even afford the last three HF sets.

As for figuring out designs, I enjoy trying to replicate other people's designs. I usually try out someone's designs majorly when I make their self-MOC, to make it more 'them'. After that, it sort of intergrates, although I'm happy to say most design I use are my own.
Also, since the BRC on MOCpages began, designs on characters made by me and other members (mainly ~gideon3fucci ) a lot of complex designs have arisen as each MOCer puts a different spin on an old design.
And, true, I don't have much trouble figurng out your work. I don't have much trouble with any MOCs now, to be honest.
And I can't even remember the last time I built a set without throwing away the instructions first.

That sucks. DO you work or what? Over here our economy is in the shitter so everyone's looking for a job, leaving us younger people with no job experience out in the cold.

That's cool. I take a lot from the lego sets designs and improve on them. I've tried to emulate Jake's and 's styles a little bit. I wish you'd upload back shots and alternate angles on here. MOCpages loads SOOOOO SLOW FOR ME! Plus here I'm well known and liked, there I'm just another MOCer. Since joing the online bionicle comunity its really put my level of skill in perspective, I learned that there's people out there putting what I do to shame, and my work puts a lot of other people's work to shame, which is hard to believe.
Yeah. Well you're probably a better MOCer than I cause I still go "how did he do that?" with a lot of people's MOCs.

Am I? Any taller than 40cm and my MOCs spontanously collapse. I only have one non-collapsing colossus and his legs can't really bend.

As for backshots, who knows? Maybe I'll post a whole page of backshots of all my MOCs for ya.

And, yes. I don't have a job right now really. Not so much of a problem as yet, me bing only 17, but I'm searching around. The only ones open near where I live need me to be either 18 or work on a sunday morning, neither of which I can do, but, I haven't looked everywhere. Exams taking priority, etc.

Ah...so you lack some of the technical skill? 15 inches huh? That's not that tall before they start keeling over I do know that technicality is my strength as a MOCer. Its no small task figuring out how to get two feet(30 CM) of bionicle MOC to stand upright, and this was before I had internet and saw other people do it, I figured it out on my own, THEN to make two feet of bionicle stand upright on wheels with pneumatic lifts, and then to do it yet again with a toa inside of it.

I know it'd be a big hassle but there's a lot of MOCers that are exclusive to here...at least I think. I'm gonna make a journal asking about that in the group.

Well it sounds like you've got better options once you turn 18. Unfortunately I'm 22 now with no job experience which I think will make it tougher to get a job than when I was. Things were so much easier when I was in school. I wish I had gotten a job while still in school. I graduated just as Americas economy went to shit, got kicked out of the birds nest just as a storm rolls in so now I'm struggling to fly.

Clever. Come on though, if you're that technical could that be useful as a skill perhaps? Fixing stuff? I have no clue

And I made something tall that doesn't snap and fall over!
It's a tree.

It could be if I applied it to such a thing. I could probably very good with machines or if I really worked at it, an engineer.

Cool, a bionicle tree, did you upload it here yet? *hasn't checked deviations yet today*

Mhm.

No, I haven't. I have a few more MOCs to post and such before taking any more photos.

The tree is part of a group of items, rahi and characters I'm making for Korrothis. There aren't too many MOCs for it - haven't even begun to make half the lords let alone their servants, pets, items, flora and machinery.

Your MOCs are always interesting to see, I look forward to them.

Wow that sounds pretty involved, is this another storyline of yours?

In effect, I only have one storyline but it spans hundreds of thousands of years and many hundreds of light-years.
That's a lie, actually. Planar is my other storyline but I've never written anything for it.
But, yeah, all my lego-ey ones are linked, one saga after another.

Ah Kinda like Jake with impulse? That's pretty cool. Now your toa and what not, do they fit into this story? Cause you obviously associate with the bionicle universe by having toa, matoran and such.

Most of my MOCs are in the storyline. Those that aren't are in my non-canon section on the 'Pages.

Ah okay, so you separate them by storyline characters and non storyline characters? I'll have to go look through your gallery again with that in mind.
