Xalos. Originally an inhabitant of the Northern Continent who migrated to its southern island looked over by Makuta Raximoras. As its city grew and the governance changed, Xalos was chosen as captain of the city watch.

Later, after Poliaz's toa fell, Xalos was one of fifty matoran who volunteered to undergo protodermic transformation, and was one of only five to survive. He became the leader of the Toa Vanembar.

In the shadowcaverns, Xalos, alone, stumbled across a broken Great Being relic of great power. It struck him, and warped his arm. He gained the element of Spirit - a dark, twisted element considered immoral.

Later still, the murder of Maelestrak and suicide of Ekkibarus brought about the dark maelstrom known as Tempesta Magna. In hiding on the island of Mata-Nui, he was chosen to replace the Icelord. He and his brother Gringat stopped the storms.

Later still, on a newly colonised world, disaster struck. Gringat and Xalos disappeared, and the giant planet descended into the chaos of Tempesta Magna. It remains violent and inhospitable to this day, the akonians living there trapped below the crust.

As Icelord, Xalos' domains are Cold, Snow, Frost, Midnight and, to a certain degree, Nightmares and Death.

Ngh. Since Xalos is white, I couldn't really get the background right. I'll be replacing it with a matt black one soon enough.
