I'm not a huge fan of Lily and Snape (I like them well enough, I'm just not crazy about them) but the other day while listening to the Deathly Hallows audiobook I started thinking about whether Lily ever thought of Snape after she got married. Like, if she ever wondered if he was okay, or missed him or anything. I think she probably did think of him from time to time.Related content

I always wondered about that as well, since we never see her mentioning him once on any occasion.
It makes me pity Severus even more because while he never stops loving and thinking about her, she can't even seem to spare a thought on him.
Severus may not have been the best of friends when he called Lily that name, but it was all in the heat of the moment and he regretted it immediately and apologized.
The fact that she couldn't forgive him says a lot about her I think.

I read a fanfiction where she cheated on James with him, and Harry is actually Snape's son, and the reason he looked like James is she put some sort of Transfiguration spell on him. MIND BLOWN!

i think she loved him, as a friend, and so definitely would have thought about him and maybe regretted breaking off her friendship with him. but i think that after leaving school, she would have admitted to herself that snape loved her as more than a friend and, being sensible, would have known that it would only hurt them both to reconnect. plus it would have bothered james.

I think that Lily loved Snape as a friend - and that kinda of love isn't one just to fade away. I think she defiantly thought of him and regretted losing his friendship, but she also knew that she had to remain strong and stick with the choice she made. I could see her feeling like a hypocrite if she decided to remain connected to him as long as he was into the Dark Arts. But she's still human, and she would miss him...

I thik the reason they stopped talking so quickly was because Snape got into the dark arts. I'm sure Lilly thought about him alot though, they were best friends after all...

Woah, quite expressive. I've just reread parts from the book recently (I was too tired and impatient after such a long day and simply turned over to The Prince's Tale, buh) and by the end I was crying all over again.
Not that I'm a huge fangirl or anything...
But how come Lily never really realized what was going on, seriously?
And this pic shows it nicely, honestly... Yup, the exact same look on Snape's face what I pictured. The one you never see otherwise, because it's all hidden away for your sake, for the other"s sake, yet it shows through from time to time when one's not careful enough.
