Behold, the majestic blue and yellow macaw. Another fabulous bird!Haven't slaved myself in such a long time. Having put in so much time into a piece, and seeing the outcome, I have fairly mixed feelings. A feeling of "yes, I'm finally finished" and "Ohh, it looks sloppy; I could have done much better". Anyhow, it's still something I'm proud of. I haven't a clue what I'm going to draw next, but I want to pick up painting. Painting with real paints on canvas, not digital xD
So. I'm starting to apply at universities to pursue a career in 3D animation. The university I want to get into is rather difficult as they have high standards. I read the portfolio requirements and boy, oh boy, do I need to work my butt off just to get in! The biggest issue that needs to be resolved is that I need to start making original works, rather than drawing from reference. Yeah, I really need a great degree of luck to pull that off, so wish me the best!

wish you luck? dude you don't need luck you have skill and i have absolute confidence in your skill. you have done nothing but awesome work and sure some can say it's because of references but seriously looking at something and getting it's details to match a real picture isn't easy with just digital. given enough insperation (which is the hard part) i know you could come up with some amazing things for a portfolio. still I will wish you luck and I hope to hear about you getting in some day.
