Here's another chickadee! There's something about them that I just love. Tiny little wonders they are ~
Life Update:
I'm off to a good start this final year! I always skipped out on taking an art elective at school mostly because I wasn't comfortable drawing with other people and also because of the fact that I didn't want to be told what to draw. I pushed myself this year to take it and much to my surprise, I'm really enjoying it!
My assignment was to demonstrate the use of lines to create form, value and texture. I think I knocked it all off in one shot xD I challenged myself to do it solely with inks, a medium I'm not fluent with, but nonetheless, I'm really proud of the result! I can only imagine what other projects will come by this year, and I'll be more than delighted to share all those with you guys (:

this looks beautiful I really love how the fluff looks you see it and you know it's so soft. course never touch these birds I am sure they'd peck my eyes out lol. it never ceases to amaze me how detailed you can get.
so was this for school or just a personal piece to motivate you to do the school work? because if it is for school yeah your lines and texture defiantly nailed it and i am sure the teachers going to be expecting great work from you.

Actually, from my experiences, the chickadees around here are rather shy.
They keep their distance from the feeder when I'm nearby xD To be fair
though, the fact that I own a 01mm ink pen, it forces me to get meticulous
with the details xD
Ohh this one's for school. I'm fairly confident I got it, but I think it just lacks
some personality and creativity. I actually haven't drawn anything serious
on my personal time since August...

I took a semester of drawing in college. My still life renders were pretty good, but I didn't enjoy it. I mean, I probably could develop the skill, but I just don't like doing it. Nothing but respect for you guys that get awesome at it.
