I'm not fully convinced with how this one turned out, but I decided to post it anyway. Elric !!!
I'm trying to work on proportions and expressions... *stares hopelessly at the void thinking how far she is from her goal*
Done with 5B, 2B and 4H pencils and a smudgestick. Since I did it on a n6 drawing paper I had to scan it in two parts, and though I tried to fix it you can still tell where the parts have been joined. Tried to take a photograph but looked worse...

I'm glad you scanned(and posted) it. I'm scannerless at the moment, and photographed traditional art just looks scary. I couldn't tell you scanned it in pieces until you mentioned it.

No, really, I think he's a very interesting character. They're relaunching the series here (good thing because it was impossible to get hold of the books, I had to read from badly scanned pdfs) and I already wrote to the editorial to encourage them to publish the whole series. I was mad as hell a few months back when on a newspaper arcticle they qualified Elric as a drug addict. Like they can't tell the difference between a junkie and someone who relies on medication to survive *sighs*

One of the first things that got me hooked was how he did not fit into the role of a typically Melnibonean emperor at all. A weak ruler of a decadent empire. Apart from the character I love everything about the books, the struggle between Law an Chaos, the writing style itself etc. I love the way M.Moorcock thinks!
A drug addict?! I don't think they've read the books :/ *sigh*. I'd love to get the relaunched series! I myself had to download the ebooks from a p2p program.

Yeah, so had I, and all I could get at the time were badly scanned spanish translations with messed up letters. Now I have them is Spanish as well, but well printed and the such.
I hate it when people talks without knowing. I remember I had the intention to write to that newspaper but eventually forgot.

I got to hear about Elric through this pic in a magzine I saw somewhere (The one by Brom in which Elric's fighting monsters). The magazine didn't mention who it was but I could not get the image out of mind. Eventually I saw the pic again in a library book and knew I had to get the books right away (which didn't happen). Have you heard the songs by Domine? (Chaos star, song of the swords)
