Decades ago, in elementary school, a friend of mine told me about a creepy story he'd read.  I could envision it all in my head, right out in the sunlight on the playground.  When I came upon 28 SCIENCE FICTION STORIES OF H. G. WELLS years later, I realized he was describing "Avu Observatory."  That it made such an impression on me second hand, in totally non-creepy surroundings, is a testament to Wells' writing ability.

It's a very unique setting for a monster story, and the critter attacking in the darkness makes it even more effective.

Nice illustration.
I still think bats are cute and helpful creatures though. Why don't writers use possums more?

Bats are definitely cute. But this is a bat-monster

Someone of Reddit bought the original bat claw props from Night Shift. That's the only monster bat movie I know of.

You fool, you're in a horror story!

YOU NEVER LEAVE ANY DOOR OR WINDOW OPEN IN A HORROR STORY!!!!

I was wondering: what do you think of my Dinoworld Project? It's in my gallery.

Especially such a big window!
I haven't had the time to visit DeviantArt much the latest two months, so I'm afraid i haven't kept myself updated on your Dinoworld project. I'll try to rectify that

The story is online, of course. But there's also a very good audiobook version of it over at Librivox.org
