The Dover Demon is much akin to the critters used by Spielberg in his movies. Of course, it being Hollywood, his saucer men had to look cuter.

Dover is oddly famous given that he was seen only 2-3 times in a 36 hour period, and was never seen again. This is great art off the little guy.

Ah, the terrifying 'large albino frog whilst tripping balls in the woods' incident. Looks awful grumpy, probably because it's cold and it's naked. No one every really considers the fashion side of alien spotting. Surely they get bored of the same old silver jumpsuits? Disco is life, but disco is also dead, even in space. Though perhaps that just means their world is at least forty light years away...
Soon we'll start getting reports of Greys with eyeliner and frilly shirts, moping about and wailing.

I'm reminded of the illustrations in a book I remember leafing through as a kid. It was about paranormal sightings and also more traditional hauntings, with a very similar colour-palette for its illustrations.

There is one book in particular that has been reprinted here in Finland a few times, about witches and demons. The cover alone has scared generations of children, with a fanged skull glaring at the viewer with blood-shot eyes.
