Description BOOYAH; who says I don't finish what I start!?!?  VICTORY SCREECH!     While I wasn't able to complete it on the original design, I did get the Photoshopped edit mostly finished before Photoshop quit, so I found another program I've been experimenting with to complete it on.  And hey, nobody likes this one as much anyway, 'cause it's the very last one  ; but it's also probably the most important one besides The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, so I took some extra special care with it.  The radio drama can be found here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEwPpC… .  Strangely enough, it's the only one of the radio dramas that doesn't have one of those little preview bits at the beginning; it just goes right into the Focus on the Family theme and the spoken intro.  I wonder if that's because too much would give it away or they just never did one?  Audiobook live read here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VQIvN1… .

One other reason I don't read or listen to this one as much is because it is absolutely terrifying; the primary villain is sort of a mixed representation of Satan and Death, with Death being on the heavier end, two characters which are most often given as separate entities.  Even in the oldest mythologies, primarily Greko-Roman, Nordic, and Egyptian, Death is usually represented as an almost impassive non-character, while gods of chaos or creators of chaos are labeled as just that; the Egyptian god Set, the god of Chaos, is a close picture of Tash, the chief god of the Calormens in the Narnia series, but he still doesn't quite do it justice.  Tash is basically every human being's worst nightmare; in ambiguous words simple enough for children, you never really get to know how much he's capable of, but considering that the closest opposite he's measured against is Aslan (Jesus, so still not as powerful), we can safely assume he's pretty far up there.  Based on his description alone, he can be said to pretty much represent Death by itself, but the main reason I call him a mix of Death and Satan is because no religion I'm aware of, no matter how bizarre or inhumane their traditions, has ever worshipped Death as a divine entity.  There are plenty of Satan worshippers, both self-professed and labeled such, but I've never yet heard of a Death worshipper; since everybody eventually dies anyway, I'm having trouble seeing how a lifestyle of that line would be considered successful.  Your thoughts?  Thank you for your patience; God bless!

*Note: A lot of people associate the depiction of apes from that time period, especially in children's literature, as being racist; we see something vaguely similar in Rudyard Kipling's stories in The Jungle Book.  However, most children's authors make a very definite distinction between Man and Animal by the ways they think and act, not by how they look; we see another example in Kipling's Just So stories in "How the Leopard Got his Spots" when the Ethiopian, who is identified as a Man, simply changes his skin to a different color.  Kids don't identify racial slurs; they see "people" and "animals," and distinguish each as its own kind; so please don't overanalyze children's literature looking for pointed comparisons that probably aren't there (Jonathan Swift being an obvious exception), but enjoy the story as it is.

Great job! I hate this book and think it's a terrible ending to a wonderful book series (The Voyage of the Dawn Treader should've been the ending), but you did an awesome job here.

Lewis made a point to never specify anyone's age; he only wrote up an official time line for the series because his fans asked him to, and there are still a couple inconsistencies in it when you compare it with the books.
