FULL VIEW PLEASE!Maiko> Based from one of my classmate's reporting, maiko is one of those "levels" or "ranks" in becoming a geisha. It's like a "geisha junior".
This drawing is supposed to be placed for the front layout in our organization's newspaper. I'm not still decided. Maybe I'll still make one...a chibi? >_< I rushed just to finish this before the HELL WEEKS starts again T.T Waaa...
Anyway, the lineart was done using a calligraphy pen I bought in Japan last summer and some editing in photoshop.
BG= some brushes in photoshop
Fan= texture I scanned from an origami paper piled inside my room XD > i just want to experiment things
kimono= my design
I still one pending art request..I will do it right after my school requirements and before our study tour in Japan.

Yeah. I actually went and looked for her two days ago just to confirm it. Quite the coincidence, then again, it's kind'a common. But the separate strands have a very strong likeness.

Okay now I really like this one. i can honsetly say that this is one of the few pieces I've seen wear the artist's abilities had inspiration from manga that could be seen in the art but his work wasn't drowned in it. The colors are refreshing and the detail is good; still noticing the patterns in the cloth don't fold though. It's nice how she remains unfinished, just stuck right on the background almost like a logo.
