BTW. It turned out, that Assetto Corsa is the most played race/car simulator on Steam.
That's why they are giving away this free DLC now - as a "thank you" for players.
And that modding community...

I supposed you were going to play the original G:Autosport on Steam, because a few days ago there was a Humble Bundle with maaany Codemasters games on Steam, including GRID Autosport...
Not on Steam, but Ubisoft gives away 3 games until December 23 for free to keep! One of them is a 2013 game AC IV: Black Flag. It says "choose your game" but it's kinda misleading - you can add all of them to your Ubisoft account.

I had an idea of recording all car sounds across all camera views in my favourite car game - Assetto Corsa - and put them all on a youtube playlist.
I started doing this yesterday, so there are only 11 cars yet, but I will upload more as I record them.
You may like it, because I recorded all 5 Audis that I have access to in the game (the rest are DLCs which I don't own yet) with your love for Audi in mind

I only drive with the racing line when I don't know the track or the car yet! I decided to keep this on those gameplays because it's easier when I have to drive many cars one by one on different cameras across one lap. Assetto Corsa has really amazing driving model and physics and every car feels different - even when playing on a keyboard or a gamepad. It's a pleasure to drive but hard to master. Therefore when I'm playing on gamepad I have to make some sacrifices to fulfill my target

I can be pretty aggressive and reckless in driving too, but sometimes I'm very careful - this mostly depends on my current mood and what I want to achieve!

I counted 145 cars with all DLCs. Many of them have 2 or 3 different variants but I didn't count them (Step1, Step2, Stage 3, Drift version etc). I only have 1 DLC (Dream Pack 1) so I only have maybe 70 cars... less than half of all

No, you don't have to be connected, this game can be played offline with AI (it has a simple Career mode also)
At least I think so, because I never checked if this game works offline

Yes! And with lots of mods (tracks, cars, apps and other things) made by the community. There is also one of the polish racing tracks - Tor Poznań, laser scanned, very popular

Yep, there is no problem launching Steam in offline mode and playing the game without internet connected.
My next AC challenges probably:
- beat Career Mode (I'm only 18% done)
- beat all Challenges
- beat one professional polish driver's time on Tor Poznań on a gamepad
that last one will certainly be a challenge...

I like this car too
But it's not my favourite... my favourite is Pagani Zonda R. Quite a unique car, not compatible with most today's standards, doesn't really fit anywhere. A bit of a reflection of myself.

italian cars are also very good, but I prefer from Germany ^^ I feel me more comfortable and sure with them. But I like drifting too

I hope you are not too sad that you don't have a car? There are too many these days anyway... sometimes hard to even cross a street. And the constant noise and smell is awful. When cars, I only love the racing ones, or rally cars, not the civil road traffic. Traffic is so boring and annoying... and so common...
I wish I could be in a racing car or a rally car one day, even if for just one lap.
