...Well, Ash not aging in the anime REALLY bugs me, ESPECIALLY since in the Pichu Brothers short Ash told Pikachu that it was the "day the first met", meaning at LEAST one year had to have gone by!

I've seen a creepy pasta explaining why Ash never aged, he must be in a coma after the First episode.

No, 4Kids has been bankrupt since the late 2000's. The last Pokemon-related thing they dubbed was Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. That's why there was such a sudden voice-cast change after that. XD
