Since my last drawing:
, I was surprised to see some people asking that since Phoenix had a bad relationship with her mother and brother, if she hated Cloudy too. I think Phoenix herself would be indignant at this assumption, 'cause....that's her baby sister you're talking about
Cloudy was a sickly baby and has had asthma since she was a kid. It's less frequent in her adulthood, but sometimes a bad attack gets triggered by stress, or when she overdoes it a little skateboarding. Phoenix has sharp eyes and ears when it comes to her sister's slightest wheeze, even when Cloudy waves it off as nothing to worry about. You need your inhaler? Got it right here. Is your blood sugar low? I got a snack in my pack. Need to go lie down? I'll carry you. Phoenix never smokes around Cloudburst (Stormy gets huffy at how fast she'll toss her cigarette at the sight of their sister, why won't she do that for him?), and likes to change out of her smoky clothes before going to see her.
Cloudy likes to tease Nix about the fussing, but sometimes, well....sometimes Cloudy doesn't mind it so much. In any case, she and Phoenix wouldn't trade each other for the world.

You've posted a piece before about how Stormy and Bruce got into a massive fight because Stormy didn't understand why Bruce wanted nothing to do with his parents, and I wonder if Phoenix might not be a little more sympathetic. Maybe Nix didn't have the same situation as Bruce, but I bet she can understand Bruce's hesitance and uncertainty, especially with her own strained relationship with RD. Ignoring whatever situation it takes for the two to meet and actually open up to each other, it would be interesting to see Nix and Bruce sort of face their fears together, figure out how to talk with their respective parents. Maybe seeing Bruce and Fey start to slowly get along will help Nix start to try and repair her own relationship with RD, perhaps with Fey's assistence, mother-to-mother and such.

With stormy and Phoenix trouble relationship, does Phoenix get to see her niece and nephew? Does stormy and Phoenix relationship ever improve in the process. I mean, stormy at least talked this out with his abusive ex for the sake of his child, I would think he could do the same for his sister.

As an only child, I've never really known what it's like to have siblings. But what I do know is that the best ones have your back in the toughest times. I could use a friend like that.

By Celestia, I know how that feels, being so out of breath that your lungs hurt to breathe, the taste of copper every time you exhale... the tunnel vision that creeps in as you fight for air.
It's a real comfort when there is someone there to hold your hand during one of those attacks

That's actually a common thing I see among siblings. One sibling will pest the other to death but dotingly love on another. Its the luck of the draw, I suppose.

i wish i was a good sister as pheonix. i'm honestly really bossy and easy to piss off when it comes to my siblings.

It's hard to believe, but you can change. My relationship with my younger brother used to be adverserial, our family is all pretty mean to each other and hardly ever have anything nice to say. Growing up I mirrorored this and I "teased" him a lot in a way that was not really fun, just mean-spirited. I had to grow up to learn that our family was dysfunctional and love-starved, and make the choice to change. It doesn't come easy, or naturally, but it's possible. Every time you interact with your siblings, you're presented with choices. Get annoyed and snap at them, or take a breather? Boss them around, or ask politely? Dismiss their problems, or really listen? You can also try communicating your needs. If you're feeling annoyed, tell them you could use some space. Try treating them the way you want to be treated....and maybe you'll be surprised to find them mirroring your new behavior. It doesn't have to be some big dramatic overnight change, but baby steps add up. :>
