Disney soundtracks have been on a regular rotation on my MP3 player lately; Aladdin, Pocahontas and obviously The Hunchback Of Notre Dame. I recently picked up the DVD and saw the movie for for the first time too and was thoroughly impressed, by the musical numbers in particular. This image was inspired by the opening sequence, "The Bells Of Notre Dame"

I watched this movie yesterday and it was so dark, the villain was creepy, the songs and choir was AWESOME & BEAUTIFUL, the characters were likeable, it is now my most favorite Disney movie and Frollo is now my most favorite villain! ^^ And this is the best song in the soundtrack and played in the movie!!!

by far one of THE best songs disney has ever created. I find myself singing it all the time, and mainly in the morning, which fits so well with the first line, and Clopin is a great narrator too!
Although it's not close to the book, like most disney films aren't, I really do love this version of the story, and those bells are truly done wonderfully!

It did a fantastic job of setting the mood of the film as well as telling Quasimodo and Frollo's history - then the reprise wrapped it all up again nicely

It's been a while but I think I used my Staedtler Mars Technico for most of it, with a 0.5mm mechanical pencil for finer details.

we watched that movie in my French class, and it was SO hard not to start passionately singing along to that song. I love that movie so much, and this picture does it justice

During the time in which HND takes place, the Reformation was underway and the Catholic church was trying to keep the printing press from turning into an industry. This look of dark pencil on parchment is the same style as the illustrations of the event in my history book.

Amazing, such technique and detail on the bells, this picture is stunning! I adore this movie, it has such an intense plot, indepth characters and an incrediable soundtrack! The Bells of Notre Dame was one of the best in my opinion, especially the climax when Clopin hits that incredibly high note at the end! Thanks so much and keep up the good work

Oooooh! I love the perspective, how it sort of looks like you're looking at the belltower through a fisheye lens. That, and the textures and shading, really remind me of M.C. Escher.

Love this! So neat and so impressive. I like how you did the shading and the whole piece really has an "older" sort of feel to it.

I'm pleased with how the shadows and textures came out, particularly the bells. The older feel probably comes from the sepia tone and the roughness of the pencils.
