Description

Roderyk’s mages tried to teleport Roderyk and his forces, despite being tired from the previous battle. However orcs activated blocking spells, thanks to Tor’Morrow and Garona’s knowledge. After killing blockers, conjurers could finally teleport the Defender to the Stormwind Keep.

Roderyk was teleported to the closest safe place to Stormwind Keep. Then knights saw, to their horror, the true army of the Horde. What was worse, they destroyed the castle’s gate and invaded the fortress ! With no time left, the Defender had to use a secret passage to the King’s castle. However this was blocked by a camp of orcs. So Roderyk’s forces destroyed the camp. Only the Defender and few survivors used the passage, running from orcish chase. The knights however used goblin mines to blew up the passage behind them to block it from orcs .

Inside Stormwind Keep Roderyk met Gavinrad (with a bandage on his head), who told of their King’s death and the evacuation led by Lothar. The news of Llane’s death shattered Roderyk and made him feel very guilty about it . Roderyk told that Gavinrad was right about his journey, it was all a trap, set by that traitor Tor’Morr. However Gavinrad said that, despite his desire to say something awful, there was no time for self-pity as everyone must escape the city right now. Stormwind Keep was lost! Gavinrad and Roderyk and few knights had to pass through the swarms of orcs ogres, spiders etc. and save as many civilians as they could by the way. However on their way, they saw prince Varian’s mother dead body, which made Roderyk feel even more guilty. Finally Roderyk and Gavinrad, who were the only survivors of the chase, met Lothar, prince Varian and Khadgar at the port. Lothar was glad that Roderyk was still alive and he told him what to do to save as many people as possible…

Roderyk, Gavinrad, Lothar and Khadgar fought back orcs and let civilians escape through boats. But for every fallen knight, 10 more orcs came with their catapults, meant to destroy boats with survivors. Lothar said that they must escape before more war machines came. However Gavinrad said that the remaining empty boats must be destroyed, so the orcs could not go after survivors through the sea. Then Roderyk offered himself to buy his people time. Lothar, Gavinrad and Khadgar said there was no time for heroics, but Roderyk retorted that he swore an oath to protect the crown, which included prince Varian, whose parents were dead because of the Defender, and who was the future king and hope for Stormwind. Finally the heroes with regrets accepted Roderyk’s plan. Khadgar and Gavinrad said their goodbyes and went to ships to prepare them for an escape. Lothar and Roderyk were now alone…
