Description Another test using my SketchUp model.
Another way to make a sun and it´s light.
Except of the ship everything was painted in PS.
Took about 40 min.

Hope you like it

That's really good, it makes me think of something happening in a story, entering a sector where a ship previously believed lost is found adrift, very good.

Thank you! I tried to create a mystic feeling, to raise the question what happened there. I´m glad you do like it but I´m not actually statisfied. As soon as I have time I will remake it (and as soon as I have learned some things)

Well I'm sure I could write up a story for it, only recently returned to trying to write Star Trek stories set around my character, Reina Beaumont's, life within Starfleet and the fFderation since she comes from a universe where she was trained to kill at a young age and centuries later found herself in a universe where humanity did something unexpected - it began to grow up.
So I'm sure I could write up something to help with the picture if you prefer.

Then I'll see what I can do, I've got an idea, a lind of previous mission thing when my character was serving on another ship before her current assignment.

Please keep me informed and I might create a new image, using your story as reference (as long as it doesn´t include original ships, which I can not include in my images due technical issues)

Well the main ship is the USS Akira, it's set in 2377 shortly after the war and a few days before Voyager returns home. While exploring a new sector, a Federation signal is detected and a Starfleet ship is found adrift, but nothing adds up about it because the ship is still in active service when they try to figure out how a recently refitted ship could have suddenly been found centuries old and adrift in an unexplored region.

Thanks!
Here´s the explanation:
1.) make a new layer, 'fill it with color and reduce it´s transparency to 30%
2.) use the darker/brighter brush to make the light effekt (the stripes shall go on from the light source
3.) erase the area that isn´t affected

I used two of these layers: 1 for the ship and the other for the asteroids.
If it doesn´t help, ask me again, and I will try once more under better circumstances (I´m sooo tired...)

I just read it. But this one won´t work here, because my computer is very old and in my workin resolution (3500x2800) it takes by far too long to use it
